Name: Ava

Nicknames: ....Ava

Gender: Female

Age: 3 years

Species/Breed: Dog/ Saluki

Rank: "Fighting" Slave

Personality: |Dishonest | Active | Impatient | Quick | Distant |

| :bulletpink: Dishonest :bulletpink: | It's in Ava's nature to lie. She'll lie about what she "works" as, where she's from, who owns her, what that other guy did, and even her own species. Yes, she has told people that she was a cat or a fox before when she obviously isn't. The sad thing is-- she's painfully good at it. Those people were almost convinced that she was actually not a dog. This trait make's Ava seem suspicious to others, but it just really ties into the fact that she's paranoid about people knowing that she is a slave-- or was. Anyways, lying really saves her butt most of the time.

| :bulletpink: Active :bulletpink: | Ava is very strong physically. She can run forever, having the lovely stamina that Salukis have. And she's is pretty fit for a slave. Pretty muscular. Well trained for fighting. All that good stuff.

| :bulletpink: Impatient :bulletpink: | Not much can be said about this...it's just what she is! Impatient. Ava would rather get all the bad stuff over with, and she hates it when battles drag on or when people ramble on to her just too much. It starts to freak her out when things take too long to happen. Like... they're taunting her or something. Hurry up!!

| :bulletpink: Quick :bulletpink: | She's pretty quick to make descisions and knows when it's the right time to fight or flee. You can take this literally, too...She can run pretty fast. One minute you're staring at her and then BOOM she's like miles away. Because of this, she will try and escape her master often...and that never turns out well.

| :bulletpink: Distant :bulletpink: | When you talk to Ava, she will space out a lot and won't show a whole lot of emotion. Her thoughts are elsewhere... Many people will feel the need to wave in front of her face, asking "Anybody home?" She can't really help it. Because of this, it's very hard to get a nice conversation going with her. She won't give much away, and if it seems like she does, she's probably lying.

Brief History:
As a child, Ava was pretty much bred into the slave business. Her parents were slaves, her siblings are slaves, she is a slave. A fighting one, however. Not a lot of her family members did that. Her parents were so upset when she was chosen to live such a harsh life, but what could they do? That's what her master wanted.

So she was thrown all over the place. People would gamble with her, betting that her opponent would win, and then her master would get all the credit when they didn't. Ava has had many owners over the years-- they kept trading her for other fighting slaves and things. People would make such good offers for her, because they wanted the pretty little dog.

She hasn't seen her family in years and doesn't really want to anymore. It would be too depressing.

Ava developed a new technique for her fighting using her lies. She would go up in front of the other fox or dog and act completely innocent. 'Please don't hurt me!' 'I don't want to be here...' 'I'm so scared...!' 'But don't you disagree with all of this, too?'
It worked more often than she expected. Her opponent would refuse to fight a little girl, and so she would take that moment of hesitation to beat them to a pulp. People were oh so entertained by this. It drove the other fighting slaves mad.

Her scares are more or less from fights. Because not everyone fell for her little innocent charade. However, the one on her muzzle was actually a burn put on her by a past owner because she tried to escape. She get's punished a lot for escaping.

Ava is currently on the run from one of her owners; we'll see how long it takes for her to get caught by someone again.

Relationships:
:bulletorange: -Unknown | Uneasy
:bulletyellow: - Acquaintance
:bulletgreen: -Friend
:bulletblue: -Good Friend
:bulletpink: -Crush | Attraction
:bulletred: -Love
:bulletblack: -Dislike
:bulletblack::bulletblack: -Hate | Rivalry | Enemy
:bulletpurple: -Respect
:bulletwhite: -Dead

:bulletorange: King Leon III- I can't say anything about the king at the moment. He's just...the king. I don't always agree with his actions, but I can't say I despise him...yet. It seems that he has a rivalry with the fox mistress and a seemingly worse relationship with his own daughter. Interesting.

:bulletorange: / :bulletpurple: Princess Hattie- That girl is really sassy. It's amusing to watch her interact with her father. The fact that she cares enough to prevent the executions of lowly foxes intrigues me. I have a tiny bit of respect for her.

:bulletorange: / :bulletyellow: Circe- The only time I've truly interacted with her is after she had seen one of her own get executed by the guillotine...she was rather emotional. But I could sense strength from her. Such a powerful being... I'm not sure about her just yet. But I suppose we will chat again someday.

:bulletorange: / :bulletyellow: Poe- He's an odd one, that kid. I think whatever's happening in the guild has really shaken him up. He seems fine enough, though, and I don't know why anyone would hate him.

:bulletorange: Merick

Roleplaying Example:

And just like that, Ava was thrown into the competition. It was a circle of drunk cats, all laughing and shouting at her to fight-- but who? Her dark brown eyes flickered over towards her opponent. He was a small red fox, growling and lashing his tail as he was pushed towards her by his owner. The Saluki turned her head slightly to look behind her-- yes, she had no choice. Her master was giving her that look that said 'get in there and fight before I kill you and replace you with another worthless dog.' She gave an impatient sigh and looked back at the fox, her gaze softening. Her plumy tail lowered between her legs and she looked very frightened all of a sudden. The dog's voice grew more high-pitched as she stared at the fox. "Are you okay?"

"This isn't the time for talkin', lady," the stranger replied, his expression making him look like he was in pain just thinking about fighting this girl.

"B-But I don't want to do this!" The cream and white colored dog whimpered, looking around wildly at the crowd.

The fox sighed, cursing under his breath. "I can't do this! You all are expecting me to fight this weakling--" His voice cut off into a high-pitched squeal as Ava ran up and grabbed hold of the red fox by his neck, twisting her body around so that she threw him at a wall. The dog proceeded to walk up to him, beating down on the poor slave by hitting and biting him. Shocked gasps and murmurs came from the crowd as they watched, and their voices soon turned into cheers once again. Oooh, Ava bet they just loved this. Sick bastards.

She took a step back and looked at the small, bruised fox with sad eyes. "You underestimated me," she said quietly, "The worst thing you can do is underestimate your opponent. Did you learn nothing?" It seemed that he was too shaken to fight, because all the fox could do was wriggle in pain and look up at her with a hateful glare, spitting out blood. She sighed and slunk back to her master. Live with it, boy.
